Hi, I’m Joel; I’m a writer and historian from the north coast of Cornwall and the lunatic responsible for this blog. I am a post-grad researcher at the University of Exeter’s Institute of Cornish Studies, studying Richard Trevithick in Latin America 1816-27, and my first book, ‘Long Road to Nowhere: The Lost Years of Richard Trevithick (Part One)’ detailing my adventures through Chile and Bolivia on the hunt for Trevithick and other Cornish miners will be published on the 27th April 2024.
